7. Install the muffler shield and rear engine guard. Install 10 (T-40) self-tapping

screws securing the rear engine guard and muffler shield to the chassis.
Torque screws to 17–22.5 N • m (150–200 in-lb).

8. Connect the battery by installing the positive battery cable first, then the

negative cable to the battery.

Neutral Adjustment

1. Park the machine on a level surface and set the parking brake. Stop the

engine, wait for all moving parts to stop and remove the key.

2. Using an appropriate lifting device, raise and support the rear of the machine.
