Shutting Off the Machine
1. Release the blade-control bar (A of Figure 18 ).
2. Remove the electric-start button from the electric-start switch (B of Figure 18 ).
3. Remove the battery pack; refer to Removing the Battery Pack from the Machine (page 24) .
Note:
Whenever you are not using the machine, remove the battery pack.

Recycling the Clippings
Your machine comes from the factory ready to recycle the grass and leaf clippings back into the lawn.
Important:
Ensure that the rear plug is locked in place. To lock the plug, raise the rear deflector (A of
Figure 19 ), and firmly push the plug down until it snaps into place (B of Figure 19 ).
