Adding Rear Ballast

Procedure
To comply with EN ISO 5395 and ANSI B71.4-2017,
add 45 kg (100 lb) of calcium chloride ballast
to the rear wheels and install the rear weight kit
(Part No. 104-1478).
Important:
If a puncture occurs in a tire with
calcium chloride, remove the machine from the
turf area as quickly as possible. To prevent
possible damage to turf, immediately soak the
affected area with water.

Procedure
On machines requiring CE compliance, apply the year
of production decal (Part No. 133-5615) near the
serial plate, the CE decal (Part No. 93-7252) near
the hood lock, and the CE warning decal (Part No.
115-2046) over the standard warning decal (Part No.
115-2045).

Controls
Traction Pedal
The traction pedal (
) controls forward and
reverse operation. Press the top of the pedal to
move the machine forward and the bottom of the
pedal to move the machine backward. Ground speed
is determined by how far you press the pedal. For
maximum ground speed, fully press the pedal while
the throttle is in the
FAST
position.
To stop the machine, reduce your foot pressure on
the traction pedal and allow it to return to the center
position.

Forward Speed Limiter
Preset the forward speed limiter (

the amount the traction pedal can be pressed in the
forward direction to maintain a constant mowing
speed.
Red Diagnostic Light
The red diagnostic light (
), located on
steering tower, is used to convey several different
messages. While starting the machine, the light
illuminates when the glow plugs are on.
