Installing the Hitch Tongue
Parts needed for this procedure:
1 Hitch tongue
1 Hitch pin
1
Bolt (3/8 x 1-1/4 inch)
1 Nut (3/8-16)
1 Large washer
1 Large nut
Procedure
Note:
This procedure requires 2 people.
1. Insert the rear end of the hitch tongue between
the mounting plates on the machine while
aligning the mounting holes (
Figure 3 ).
Note:
Position the hose guides on top of the
hitch tongue.
2. Insert the hitch pin through the mounting plates
and the hitch tongue (
Figure 3 ).
3. Secure the top of the hitch pin to the mounting
plate with a bolt (3/8 x 1-1/4 inch) and a locknut
(3/8 inch) as shown in
Figure 3 .
4. Secure the bottom of the hitch pin with a large
washer and a large nut (
Figure 3 ).
