Storage

Storing the Machine

For storage over 30 days, prepare the machine as follows:

1.

Move the On/Off switch to the Off position, and
unplug the power cord.

2.

Remove dirt and grime from the external parts of the
entire machine, especially the motor.

Important:

You can wash the machine with mild

detergent and water.

3.

Grease the machine; refer to Lubricating the Bearings
and Seals (page 23) and Lubricating the Drive Chain
(page 24).

4.

Check and tighten all bolts, nuts, and screws. Repair or
replace any part that is damaged.

5.

Paint all scratched or bare metal surfaces with paint
from your Authorized Toro Dealer.

6.

Store the machine in a clean, dry garage or storage area.

7.

Cover the machine to protect it and keep it clean.
