Controls
Determine the left and right sides of the machine from the
normal operating position.
Choke Control
The choke control is the top lever located on the rear, left
side of the engine above the fuel-shutoff valve (
).
The choke is used to aid in starting a cold engine. Move the
lever left to the O
N
position for a cold start. Do not run a
warm engine with the choke in the O
N
position.

Throttle control
Fuel-Shutoff Valve
Use the fuel-shutoff valve to shut off the flow of fuel when
you will not use the machine for a few days, park the machine
inside a building, or transport the machine to and from the
job site (
Move the lever to the left to shut off the fuel. Move the lever
to the right to turn on the fuel.
Throttle Control
The throttle control is located on the rear, right side of the
engine and below the fuel tank (
).
The throttle is used to control engine speed. Moving the
throttle control to the left increases the engine speed, and
moving it right decreases the engine speed.
Engine On/Off Switch
Located on the right side of the engine (
).
Rotate the switch clockwise to the O
N
position before starting
the engine. Rotate the switch counterclockwise to the O
FF
position to stop the engine.
