7. Route the wire harness to the transmission and plug the
2 mating wire harness connectors into the unplugged
connectors (
Figure 23 ).
8. Route the remaining length of wire harness to the left
side of the machine, under the floor and toward the
front of the machine.
9. Plug the harness connector into the harness on the
front center of the deck.
10. Secure the harness to the existing harness with tie
wraps, and secure any excess harness away from any
hot, sharp, or moving parts.
11. Plug the shunt wire harness into the deck wire harness
as shown in figure .
Note:
Use the shunt wire harness only when the decks
are removed from the machine.

Installing the Step
1. Using the 3 existing fender-mounting holes, secure the
front of the step to the machine with the 3 self-tapping
screws previously removed (
Figure 25 ).

2. Using the rear of the step as a template, locate, mark,
and drill 2 holes—8.3 mm (0.328 inch) diameter—in
the frame of the machine.
3. Mount the rear of the step to the machine with 2
screws (5/16 x 7/8 inch) and 2 flange nuts (5/16); refer
to
Figure 25 .
