1. If using a trailer, connect it to the towing vehicle
and connect the safety chains.
2. If applicable, connect the trailer brakes and
lights.
3. Lower the ramp, ensuring that the angle
between the ramp and the ground does not
exceed 15 degrees (

4. Back the machine up the ramp ( Figure 35 ).

5. Shut off the engine, remove the key, and engage
the parking brake.
6. Tie down the machine near the front caster
wheels and the rear bumper with straps, chains,
cable, or ropes (

regulations for tie-down requirements.
