Installing the Baffles
1. Remove the 9 screws and nuts from the mounting
holes provided in the front of the deck.
Note:
If the holes are not in the deck, locate, mark,
and drill 7 holes (0.344 inch (9mm) diameter) in the
front of the deck, using the dimensions shown in
Figure 1.
2. Loosely secure the right, center, and left baffles
to the inside of the deck with the screws and nuts
previously removed, positioning them as shown in
Figure 1.
Note:
If not provided, use 5/16 x 3/4 inch flange
head screws and 5/16 inch nuts.
3. Adjust the baffles to the desired height and tighten
the mounting fasteners.
Note:
Make sure the baffles are level and not bent.
A bent baffle could affect the quality of cut.

Securing the Deck Covers
1. Loosen the knobs and remove the deck covers from
the deck.
2. On each side of the gearbox, remove the knob,
washer, and locknut secured to the deck mounting
tab. Discard the knob but retain the washer and
locknut.
3. Loosely install a new bolt to each deck mounting tab
with the washer and locknut previously removed.
4. Install the deck covers and tighten the new bolts and
the existing knobs.
