External Interfaces (Microsoft TAPI, CAPI, DDE and ODBC)
The Deskmaster 510i and 520i provides a TSPI driver for the Microsoft Telephone
A pplication P rogramming Interface (TAPI). All ISDN phone functions may be controlled
through that interface.
For data applications, the standards for the Common ISDN API (CAPI 1.1 and CAPI 2.0) are
supported. A CAPI driver will be installed together with the Deskmaster PC Software.
The Microsoft interface for data exchange (Dynamic D ata E xchange (DDE) between appli-
cations is supported by the Deskmaster PC Software, as well as access to the internal data-
base in Microsoft ACCESS format through the “O pen Database Connectivity” (ODBC) inter-
face.
