Dial-On-Demand
MB5000 can be configured to disconnect from Internet connection after a specified
period of inactivity (Max Idle Time). If the Internet connection has been terminated
due to inactivity, Dial on Demand enables MB5000 to automatically re-establish the
Internet connection as soon as you attempt to access the Internet again. Enter a
number in seconds you want your internet connection to last when there is no data
transmission.
Manual:
If you choose the Manual mode, the MB5000 will not make the internet
connection when you power up the MB5000.You must manually make the
Cellular connection using the
web configuration page.
Bridged with LAN:
When this type is selected, the MB5000 acts as a modem
between the cellular network and client device (PC or handheld or others) which
attached to the MB5000 by Wi-Fi or wired-Ethernet. By this mode, the MB5000
only supports one client device. The MB5000 will initiate the PCMCIA card after
startup and be ready for the client device to dial up to the cellular network using
PPPoE. User needs to configure the right username and password in the PPPoE
client. For the CDMA 1X/EVDO data card, username/password should be
card/card; for the WCDMA/HSDPA data card, username/password will be
different from different cellular Operators, please check with your cellular service
provider.
