Operation
Do not operate the lamp without the protective cover over the light source, or when
the protective cover is damaged.
Always cover the glass lens with the lens cover when the lamp is not in use. Strong
sunlight that shines through the magnifying glass can result in the burning glass
effect and may cause a fire.
Check whether the available mains voltage is appropriate for the voltage range
indicated on the lamp.
1. Lay the connection cable so that nobody can trip over it.
2. Plug the mains plug into a wall mains socket.
3. Switch on the lamp using the switch on the top of the lamp.
Position ‘O’: Lamp is switched off.
Position ‘I’: Lamp is switched on.
Tips:
• Arrange your chair, table and the lamp in a convenient and comfortable position to avoid
eye strain and a stiff neck.
• Use both eyes, which should be 20 to 25 cm away from the lens, and move the object
closer to or further from the lens until the image is clear. Wear spectacles if you normally do.
Changing the light source
Never use light sources with a greater output than stated in the technical data,
otherwise the lamp may be overloaded.
1. Disconnect the lamp from its power supply (pull the plug out of the socket).
2. Let the bulb cool down to room temperature. CAUTION! Risk of burns.
3 Loosen the 8 screws and carefully remove the protective cover on the rear of the lamp
head.
4. Carefully remove the defective bulb from the brackets.
5. Disconnect the plug from the bulb.
6. Proceed in reverse order to insert the new bulb.
Care and cleaning
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol, or other chemical
solutions as they can cause damage to the housing and functioning of the product.
Avoid touching the lens with your fingernails or other sharp objects.
1. Disconnect the lamp from its power supply.
2. Blow off loose particles using clean compressed air, and then brush the remaining debris
away with a fine lens brush.
3. Wipe the surface with a lens cleaning cloth or a clean, soft, lint-free cloth. In the case of
fingerprints or any other grease, the cloth may be moistened with water or lens cleaning
fluid.
