c) Protective cover
• Secure the protective cover (6) in place using the 3 screws (ST4 x 12) on the motor housing.
•
The edges of the protective cover (6) must fit into the corresponding slots on the motor housing.
d) Brush
• The brush (7) is locked in place with a quick-locking mechanism on the motor axis.
• Press the quick-locking mechanism on the motor axis in the direction of the motor housing.
• Insert the hexagonal shaft on the brush (7) into the slot on the motor housing.
• Release the quick-locking mechanism. The brush (7) will lock automatically.
The brush (7) must be pressed firmly in the direction of the motor housing to ensure that it clicks into place.
The quick-locking mechanism must lock the brush (7) in place. Do not switch on the weed sweeper if you
are not sure that the brush is locked.
e) Adjusting the shaft
• Loosen the shaft lock by turning it in the direction of the open lock symbol.
• Extend the shaft to the desired length.
• Secure the shaft lock (5) by turning it in the direction of the closed lock symbol.
• The shaft can be rotated by 180°.
• To do so, pull the rotation lock (4) upwards, and then turn the shaft by 180°
The rotation lock must click back into place when you have finished rotating the shaft.
