INSTALLATION TEXT FOR THE PICTURES ON THE LAST DOUBLE-PAGE SPREAD
Read through the whole instructions before installing the machine!
Not following the instructions could result in personal injury.
The machine comes preset to MAN (manual) from the factory, and must remain so throughout the entire installation process.
Make sure that nobody except the qualified and competent installation engineer is in the vicinity of the machine during the installation proc
-
ess! Only one person is allowed to carry out the installation.
The installation must be carried out by a qualified and competent person.
Some steps involve dangerous machine movements. Take every precaution, as there is a great risk of serious crushing injuries.
1: Note the installation dimensions! The operator must have enough space to be able to stand on the right side of the machine during
baling. The height of the ceiling, the turning radius of the door and sufficient space for service work etc. must also be considered!
There is also a risk of being crushed between the guides on the top of the machine and whatever is above them, e.g. the ceiling. Risk of
crushing!
2: Electrical installation: A qualified electrician should only ensure that the correct electrical power according to these instructions is avail
able for the installation of the machine. The electrician or any other individual must not switch on the current to the machine or start the
machine. This should only be carried out by the qualified and competent installation engineer in accordance with the installation instruc
-
tions.
3 a: Take out 1 bale tool, 2 strap holders and 8 rubber tiles.
b: Place the machine on the rubber tiles and ensure that it is level.
4: To clear the area prior to raisin the cylinders, lift up the hydraulic hoses located on top of the machine and place them closer to
the outside of the hydraulic power pack cover.
5: Move the bale indicator support from its transportation position to its operating position. The bale size can be adjusted by changing position
of the bale indicator.
6: Make sure that the machine’s main switch is set to 0 and that the emergency stop is pressed in.
7: Remove the remote control from the electrical box.
8: Connect the machine to the wall socket.
9: Turn the main switch to 1 and reset the emergency stop button. A white lamp lights up.
10: Dangerous machine movement! Check the motor’s direction of rotation by briefly pressing the remote control button.
NOTE! If the motor rotates in the wrong direction, switch the phases by turning the plug.
11: Dangerous machine movement! Raise the slave cylinder up towards the mounting beam in sudden bursts by briefly and repeatedly
pressing the remote control button. Check that all the hose can move freely.
12: Bolt the cylinders in place as shown in the picture. Wait until point 15 to tighten the bolts.
13 a: Turn the switch to 0.
b: Disconnect the remote control by disconnecting the three cables from the logic unit.
If the remote control is not removed, it will be possible to bypass the machine’s entire safety system, with a very great risk of per
-
sonal injury as a result.
Store the remote control in a suitable location, separate from the machine.
14 a: Turn the main switch to 1.
b: Using the two baling push-buttons, raise the press plate so that the two pre-mounted bolts in the press cylinder can be bolted into the
cylinder beam.
c: Remove the supports
d: Close the door and lowe press plate by pushing the green start button.
e: After aprox 2 secunds turn off the power using the emergency stop.
f: Open the door and fit the 4 remaining bolts to the press cylinder.
g: Remove the 3 wood blocks that are located between the cylinders and the press plate .
h:
Tighten the press cylinder bolts, 300 Nm.
i: Check the distance between the slave cylinder and the main cylinder. Using tape, mark two measurement points situated as far apart as
possible along the cylinders. The distance must be 100 mm (+/- 1 mm). If necessary, shims must be fitted between the slave cylinder and
its support beam. Check the measurement again.
15: Tighten the slave cylinder bolts, 125 Nm.
16: a: Secure the hydraulic hoses by putting the 3 cable straps around them. Make sure that hoses don’t interfere with the press plate guides.
b: Secure the electrical cable to the press cylinder using a cable strap.
17: Close the door.
18 a: Make sure that the emergency switch is
not
pressed in.
b: Raise the press plate using the “up arrow”.
c: The green lamp lights up
19: Check the oil level when the press plate is in its uppermost position.
20: Place the strap holders in the strap holder mounts and hang the strap hook on the side of the machine.
Once the machine is installed, the installer and owner must make sure that nobody can be injured as a result being crushed on top of the
machine between the moving parts found there and whatever is above them, e.g. the ceiling.
21: The installation process is now complete, and the machine can be set to automatic mode (AUTO) if so desired.
