4.12 Li ft ing Machine
See Technical Data for the weight of the machine.
To li ft machine manually:
4.12.1 Stop the engine.
4.12.2 Obtain help from a partner and plan the li ft .
4.12.3 Grasp the machine by its cage and li ft ing slot.
4.12.4 Li ft the machine.
To reduce risk of back injury while li ft ing, keep your feet flat on ground and
shoulder width apart. Keep your head up and back straight.
To li ft machine mechanically:
CAUTION : Before attempting to li ft , be sure that all li ft ing devices can safely handle the
weight of the machine. See Technical Data (page 7) for the weight of the machine.
Attach hook, harness, or cable to the machine as shown and li ft as desired.
CAUTION : DO NOT li ft the vibroplate by its guide handle. The vibroplate can shi ft , causing it
to fall.
4.13 Transporting the Machine
To avoid burns or fire hazards, let the engine cool before transporting the machine
or storing indoors.
4.13.1 Turn the fuel valve to the o ff position and keep the engine level to prevent fuel from
spilling.
4.13.2 Tie down the machine on vehicle to prevent the machine from sliding or tipping
over.
