Never top up an empty water
reservoir with water while the
appliance is turned on. This will
cause the appliance to emit hot
steam.

Do not hold your hand above the lid
during use. Hot steam can escape
through the holes.

Never attempt to open the lid while
making coffee. There is a risk of
burning or scalding yourself.

Pay attention to steam and hot
coffee during use.

Regarding the instructions for
cleaning surfaces in contact with
food, thanks to refer to the below
paragraph of the manual.

USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
 Remove all packaging from the appliance.
 Clean the appliance, see 'Cleaning and Maintenance'.
 The first time, switch the coffee maker on with a full water reservoir but without
coffee, in accordance with the procedure in ‘Using the appliance’, in order to
clean the appliance.
 Switch the appliance off using the on/off switch.
 Pour the water in the pot away.
