TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
Problem
The power indicator by the thumb throttle does not illuminate when the scooter is on.
Possible conditions 1. Battery is discharged. 2. Fuse is blown
3. Loose connection inside the scooter.
Possible Solutions 1. Recharge your scooter 2. Check and replace the fuse (30
amp slow blow) 3. Open the battery compartment. Visually inspect all wire
connections making sure there are no loose wires. Replace thumb throttle. If the
lights do not come on but everything else works then it is your choice if you want
to change the throttle. The lights are cute but little else. Save the money for
pizza.
Problem
The power indicator by the thumb throttle illuminates but scooter still does not work.
Possible conditions. 1. The throttle handle is not operating properly, nothing
happens when using the thumb throttle. (make sure that the red button is in the out
position. If the button is in the in position the motor controller will be locked out.
2. There is a loose connector.
Possible Solutions 1. Replace the throttle. 2. Check all of the connectors and
make sure all of the connections are made. Could be a problem with the motor
controller.
Problem
Clicking noise coming from motor
Possible conditions. 1. Brush in motor has come loose.
Possible Solutions 1. Replace motor. 2. Just monitor the situation and see
if anything gets worse. Some motors have had a minor clicking sound for
a very long time and never got any worse. You can order a motor and
keep it as a spare if it let’s you sleep any better. Nice paper weight,
Problem
When the brake levers are squeezed the scooter does not stop.
Possible conditions. 1. The brakes are not adjusted properly. 2. The motor
disconnect wires on the brake handles have been cut or come lose in the battery
box.
Possible Solutions 1. Adjust the brakes 2. While under power, applying the
hand brakes should disconnect the motor to allow for full braking. Carefully
pick the unit up with some help. Confirm that either front or rear brake
