DO NOT
fill past the MAX level indicated on the Water Level window.
Overfilling may case water to spill out when boiling.
3. Place Kettle on Base making sure it is correctly engaged on its Base.
4. Plug Power Base cord into a 120V A.C. wall outlet. NOTE: Never plug
Power Base with empty Kettle into the electrical outlet.
5. Depress the On/Off Switch to the 'On' ('I') position. The Indicator Light
will illuminate to indicate that the Kettle is in the boil cycle. Once the
water has boiled, the On/Off Switch will automatically switch to the 'Off'
('0') position and the Indicator Light will go out.
6. If you want to use the Kettle again, allow the thermal safety switch
inside the Kettle to cool down for 15 - 20 seconds then depress the
On/Off Switch to the On ('I') position. If the On/Off Switch does not
remain in the 'On' ('I') position, the water is hot enough to use without
reheating.
7. Unplug cord from wall outlet before lifting Kettle from Power Base. Grip
the Kettle by the Handle only, as the other surfaces and Lid will be hot.
8. Return the Kettle to the Power Base or place on a heat resistant surface
after use.
9. If the Kettle is accidently switched on when empty, the thermostat will
cycle on and off. If this situation occurs, unplug the Power Base and let
the Kettle cool before refilling.
10. It is recommended that the power cord be disconnected from the wall
outlet when not in use.

before use.
