controls is inoperable, disconnected, altered, or not
working properly.
• Disconnect battery and fuel cell from the gas tool
before making any adjustments, changing accesso-
ries or storing the gas tool. Such preventive safety
measures reduce the risk of activating the gas tool
accidentally.
•
The gas tool should not be modified unless
authorized in the manual or approved in writing by
Kyocera Unimerco Fastening. Fail to comply can
lead to dangerous situations or injurys.
•
Keep hands and body away from fastener
discharge area of the gas tool.
• Do not operate the gas tool with batteries other than
the specifically designated battery packs delievered
with this gas tool.
• Use only fasteners designated in the technical
specifications delievered together with this manual.
•
Be careful when handling fasteners, they may have
sharp edges and sharp points.
• Use only accessories made or recommended by
the tool manufacturer, or accessories that perform
equivalently to those recommended by Kyocera
Unimerco Fastening.
• Load the fastener after loading the battery and fuel
cell to prevent unexpected fastener firing.
•
Disconnect the battery (Fig. A) and fuel cell (Fig. B)
if the fastener jams in the gas tool. While removing
a jammed fastener, the nailer may be accidentally
activated if the battery and/or fuel cell is plugged in.
•
Use caution while removing a jammed fastener. The
mechanism may be under compression and the fas-
tener may be forcefully discharged while attempting
to free a jammed condition.
•
Remove the fuel cell and battery when
∙
Not in use;
∙
Performing any maintenance or repairs;
∙
Clearing a jam;
∙ Elevating, lowering or otherwise moving the gas
tool to a new location;
∙ The gas tool is outside of the operator’s supervi
-
sion or control
∙ Removing fasteners from the magazine.
• Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by children.
•
Maintain the gas tool with care. If damaged, have it
repaired before use. Please refer to the mainte-
nance instructions for detailed information on the
proper maintenance of the gas tool.
•
Please keep the gas tool in clean condition, wipe off
grease and/or oil after work. Do not use any solvent
based cleaner to clean the gas tool. It is possible
that the solvent will deteriorate the rubber and/or
plastic components on the gas tool. Greasy handle
and tool body can cause accidental drop of the gas
tool and injury to nearby person.
•
Have your gas tool serviced by a qualified repair
person using only parts that are supplied or recom-
mended by Kyocera Unimerco Fastening. This will
ensure that the safety of the gas tool is maintained.

Use only lubricants recommended by Kyocera Uni
-
merco Fastening / your local TJEP dealer.
Fuel cell warnings
•
Use only the fuel cell recommended by Kyocera
Unimerco Fastening. Read the Material Safety Data
Sheet to understand more of your fuel cell contents
and be aware of transport regulations.
•
The fuel cell is a high pressure liquefied gas
container. The content of the fuel cell is extremely
flammable, keep it away from sparks, fire, high
temperatures and explosive environment. Do not
puncture the fuel cell or attempt to open the con-
tainer. The fuel cell contains flammable gas even if
it appears empty. Follow the recycle instruction on
the fuel cell.
• Recycle the empty fuel cell according to the local
law. Do not attempt to recharge the fuel cell or
incinerate the empty fuel cell.
•
Do not expose the fuel cell or tools loaded with
fuel cell under direct sun light. Prevent to put the
fuel cells at temperatures higher than 49°C(120°F).
Overheating the fuel cell can result in explosion or
fire.
• Handle fuel cells carefully and check for damages.
Damaged fuel cells can explode and cause injury.
Charger and battery warnings
• Recharge the batteries only with the charger speci-
fied by Kyocera Unimerco Fastening. A charger that
is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a
risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
•
The charger plug must match the outlet. Never
modify the plug in any way. Unmodified plugs and
matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock
•
Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded
surfaces such as pipes, radiators and refrigerators
when working with electrical equipment. There is
an increased risk of electric shock if your body is
earthed or grounded.
•
Do not expose the battery or charger to rain, snow
or wet conditions and do not immerse the battery or
charger into water or other fluids, as it will increase
the risk of electric shock.
•
Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for car
-
rying, pulling or unplugging the charger. Keep cord
away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
Do not use the battery charger if the cord is dam-
aged or the battery charger is defect. Damaged or
entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
•
Do not use the battery charger in explosive atmos
-
phere. This electrical device is not designed for use
in such environment.
• Charge the battery cartridge with room tempera-
ture at 0°C to 49°C (32°F to 120°F). Do not charge
battery outdoors or in temperatures below 0°C
(32°F). Let a hot battery cartridge cool down before
charging it.
• Do not puncture or attempt to open charger or
battery case.
