7.1.3 1/2-YEAR INSPECTION
NOTE: The hoist should be examined every 6
months by the supplier or a repair shop
agreed by him.
A signed and dated inspection record
should be maintained.
If a gearbox oil change is necessary, take one of the
below specified oils according to the temperature range,
the hoist usually will be used in.

NOTE: How to measure wire rope diameter:
The correct diameter of the wire rope is the
largest cross-sectional measurement across
the strands (and not the valleys).
The measurement should be made carefully
with calipers as shown in Fig. 38.

THE SAME SIZE, GRADE, AND CON-
STRUCTION AS THE WIRE ROPE
SPECIFIED BY THE SUPPLIER! (See
pages 7 and 12).
