4.2 System warming up phase
For functional reasons, MIRUS Controller must perform a system warming up phase.
This phase is initialised the moment MIRUS Controller is connected to the mains supply (AC).
Length of this phase is dependent on used anaesthetic and filling level inside MIRUS.
MIRUS Controller VA
Length of warming up
Isoflurane
up to 30 minutes
Desflurane
up to 20 minutes
Sevoflurane
up to 40 minutes
Comment:
These warm-up times are valid for anaesthetic agents on room temperature.
Comment:
To avoid a long warm up time it is recommended to always leave the device connected to the
mains supply. This will reduce the warming up phase to 2 minutes.
4.3 Connection to the MIRUS Reflector
During the standard start up procedure the MIRUS Controller automatically performs leakage
tests for safety reasons. This includes the multi lumen tube of the MIRUS Interface and the
MIRUS Reflector.
Therefore, the MIRUS Reflector must be installed to the MIRUS Controller prior to operation.
1. Unwrap MIRUS Reflector (including the
Interface with the plug) from original
packaging
according to MR's
manufacturer advice. These parts are
necessary for the System test of MIRUS
Controller.
