Performing –
Press MENU and select TRICK, and then choose a trick to perform.
If your pet does not yet know how to do a certain trick, a question mark will
appear.
Connecting with Giga Pets
from Handheld Games
You can connect a compatible handheld Giga Pets game to your TV game and have
your pets meet each other!
How to Connect
Make sure that the TV game unit and handheld game unit are both ON. Open the
flip-up door on top of your TV game unit. Dock your handheld game unit into the
TV game unit like a cartridge, and then press ZAP on the handheld game unit. Your
handheld pet will “visit” your TV pet, and certain items can be traded between
games. You can even use friends’ games for more interactive fun.
Mini Pets
Visiting pets from handheld games are known as “mini pets” in the TV game. You
will find that certain items are only for mini pets. Also, you need a mini pet with
you to be able to visit Mystery Island (the question mark on the map)!
Personality Icons and Stats
If you collect a personality icon for your TV pet while a mini pet is visiting, a copy
of the icon will go to the mini pet, too. Your TV pet’s condition can also affect your
mini pet. For example, if your TV pet is dirty or sick, your mini pet will get dirty or
sick too, even once it returns to the handheld game. If you clean or heal your TV
pet while your mini pet is visiting, your mini pet will also become clean or healed.
How to Disconnect
Press ZAP on your handheld game to make your mini pet reappear on your
handheld game screen, and then disconnect the handheld game dock from the
TV game unit.
