3.5 Connection line
When using the 1 kV connection line (6 mm thin / yellow) must be ensured, that no other
live parts of the plant are crossed.
The insulation provides only up to 20 kV sufficient protection.
Note:
When using the 40 kV connection line (11 mm thick/ yellow, with the lable - 40 000 V -)
this has sufficient protection up to 40 kV.
3.6 Pull off the telescope
Position the MultiSafe TT 36 vertically with the rubber bumper to the ground and
pull out the tube 1 m beneath to the test hight. Start with the thinnest tube, release the
lock (see 4.2), pull out and arrest it with the next tube. Proceed until the desired length is
achieved.
3.7 Connect to overhead line
Attention!
The test probe may only be connected up to the
red limiting mark to live or grounded plant components.
With all other parts of the voltage tester the distance
has to be kept as big as possible.
Hold the device on the handle below the limiting disc!
Magnet/clamp can carry voltage, when not connected
to rail / ground potential.
Release the
lock
