outer side of the thigh shell and connect it with
the lower end of the splint. Close the pocket sub-
sequently again with the hook and loop fastener.
If necessary, the aluminium splints can be put
crosswise and adjusted to match the patient‘s
body contours.
5. The thigh pad should now be repositioned in
its height. First remove the pad cover and then
loosen the two screws and washers (between pad
and splint); then position and fasten the pad at
the desired height. After that, pull the pad cover
over the pad again.
6. If necessary, a cover can be pulled over the
adjusted splint system. In order to pull over the
cover, simply remove the thigh shell and pad
from the splint system and push the cover from
below with its perforated side towards the leg via
the splints. The overhang on the lower part of the
cover can be fixed to the fastener point provided
at the lower end of the splint. If necessary, the
upper part of the cover may be shortened in its
length. After that, fasten again the thigh shell and
pad to the splint system.
Use
The period of use of the orthosis thus prepared
is to be set after consultation with the treating
physician.
Special note
All screws must be locked in place after fitting (e.g.
using Loctite or similar).
Precautions
Follow the advice of the professional who pre-
scribed or supplied the product. Consult your
professional if discomfort occurs. Store at room
temperature, preferably in its original packaging.
For hygiene and performance reasons, do not re-
use the product for another patient. Any serious
incident that occurs in connection with the pro-
duct must be reported to the manufacturer and
to the competent authority of the Member State
in which the user and/or patient are/is domiciled.
Care
• Always wash the orthosis separately and do not
soak it
• Do not use any cleaning agents, conditioners or
aggressive products (containing chlorine)
• Remove the splint system and the thigh shell
prior to washing and close the hook-and-loop
fastener systems
• The splint system and the thigh shell may be
cleaned with a damp cloth
• Squeeze out the water thoroughly
• Dry away from any heat sources
