3.1 General notes on remote control
The description of the mainframe of the PRO8000 (-4) / PRO800 includes all
instructions of how to prepare and execute the programming of the system via a
computer interface.
Special operation features of the MLC8xxx module are described here.
(Refer to chapter 2, "Operating the MLC8xxx" starting on page 33)
NOTE
All analog values are read and written in SI units, i.e. A (not mA), W (not
mW) etc. Letters may be written in small or capital letters.
Attention
Before programming a multi laser diode controller module first set
the limit value of the laser diode current I
LIM
(hardware limit) for the
applied laser diodes with a screwdriver.
The corresponding potentiometer is marked I
LIM
and is situated at the
front panel of the MLC8xxx module.
The value I
LIM
is constantly measured by the PRO8000 (-4) / PRO800
and can be checked in the channel -menu of the MLC8xxx during
setting.
(Refer to chapter 1.6.1, "Setting hardware limit I
LIM
" on page10)
