3.6 Interlock
The hardware interlock is a safety feature, accessible via the INTERLOCK connector on the
rear panel. By default, a short circuit jumper is installed to the 2.5 mm phone jack.
Instead of the jumper, an external emergency switch (opener) can be connected to the inter-
lock.
3.7 Operation
For general operation of Chrolis, install the Chrolis software, setup the system and con-
nect it to your optical system according to the instructions above.
The Chrolis is now ready for operation via the Chrolis software.

the
CHROLIS website .
Note The CHROLIS switches off automatically if the temperature of any LED exceeds 90°C.
3.8 Software
Download
As Thorlabs aims to contribute to saving our environment, we decided to refrain from shipping
an installation CD ROM or USB flash drive and to offer a download of the software from our
website instead. As an additional advantage to this distribution method, the most recent version
of the software will always be available online.
The Chrolis software package can be downloaded from the Thorlabs website .
Note
Do not connect the Chrolis to the PC during software installation! Please make sure that the in-
stallation is carried out completely, including the reboot requests. Exit all running applications
on your PC as the installer may require a reboot of your PC during installation!

Save the ZIP file to your computer and unpack the archive.
· Double click the setup.exe to install Shield Wizard.
· Read and accept the End-user License Agreement.

After installing the Chrolis software, connect the Chrolis to the PC.
Start Application
Start the Chrolis software from the desktop icon:
or access the Chrolis software from the START button:
