Trouble shooting
This section provides an easy reference guide to the more common problems that may occur during the
operation of your equipment. The fault finding guide in this section is intended to help you correct, or at
least accurately diagnose problems with your equipment.
Although this section covers the most common problems reported, you may encounter a problem not
covered in this section. In such instances, please contact your local authorized service agent who will
make every effort to help you identify and resolve the problem. Please note that the service agent will
require the following information:
TROUBLESHOOTING RANGE TOP BURNERS
Consult the following table and the flowchart that begins on the following page.
Problem
Look for-
All burners and pilots in unit will not turn on
- Main gas supply to unit is “OFF”.
All burners produce excessive carbon deposits
- Incorrect gas type supplied to unit.
-Incorrect supply pressure
Only some burners in a unit produce excessive -Incorrect orifices.
Carbon deposits
- Primary air not adjusted properly.
Only some pilots produce excessive carbon
- Pilot gas not adjusted properly.
Deposits
Top burner (not oven) will not come on
- Safety valve for top burner in “OFF” position. -
- Pilot out
Top section pilot will not stay ignited
-Clogged orifice
-Draft condition
-Improper ventilation system.
-Air in gas line.
