Emptying the Holding Tanks
N NO OT TE E:: Always be mindful of the water systems exposure to subfreezing temperatures. Freezing damage
can harm any component of the system, including the holding tanks, toilet, pump, and all piping.
1. Remove the cap from the sewage drain, and connect the flexible drain hose to the drain outlet.
2. Attach the other end of the flexible drain hose to the dump station inlet. Make sure both ends
of the flexible drain hose are securely attached.
3. Drain the black water tank first, by pulling the termination valve handle toward you. Make sure
to allow sufficient time for the tank to completely drain, then rinse the tank with several gallons
of water by depressing the stool pedal. Close the valve on the stool and let it fill before
releasing the tank. This creates additional force to flush the tank more completely.
4. Drain the gray water tank by pulling the termination valve handle toward you. Draining the gray
water tank last, with its soapy water helps to further rinse the drain and flexible hose,
5. When the tanks are emptied, close the termination valves by pushing the handles back to the
closed positions.
6. Remove flexible drain hose and wash it thoroughly with clean water. Remove the other end from
the dump station inlet, and replace it in its storage compartment. Secure the sewer hose
storage cover, and replace the caps on both the recreation vehicle outlet and dump station inlet.
