The proper repair of a punctured tire requires a plug for the hole and a patch for the area inside the tire
that surrounds the puncture hole. Punctures through the tread can be repaired if they are not too large,
but punctures to the sidewall should not be repaired. Tires must be removed from the rim to be
properly inspected before being plugged and patched.
If you notice damage to a tire such as a bulge, uneven wear, or damage by a foreign object or the road,
have it inspected and repaired or replaced as needed. Remember that tires should be taken to an
authorized tire repair facility.
N NO OT TE E:: If you experience a flat tire, it is recommended that you have qualified personnel with the proper
equipment handle the problem. Due to the size and weight of a recreation vehicle wheel and tire
assembly, as well as the amount of torque needed to tighten wheel nuts securely, it is best to call in a
professional.
