Display Options
When a MP3 audio disc is read, the title of the folder
or the song name in the home directory will show on
the display.
“ ” will indicate the title is a folder.
“ “ will indicate the title is a file.
Folder
– files are placed into their appropriate fold-
er.
File
– all files on the MP3 disc will be arranged
alphabetically.
Smart Trax
Smart Trax is a music management system that allows
for the organization of MP3 or WMA files into 6
standardized categories. The categories include My
Selection, Artist, Title, Genre, Album and CD Playlist.
This systematic arrangement shortens the initiation
time for MP3 discs. Navigation also becomes easier as
files are placed into folders.
If the MP3 disc is formatted with the Smart Trax fea-
ture, Folder mode will be replaced with Smart Trax
mode.
Smart Trax
- all files are divided into 6 different
categories.
NOTE: When reading a Smart Trax disc, the unit
will automatically enter the Artist Folder. Press
HOME or BACK to return to the Home
Directory.
1. In
STOP
mode, press
MODE
to view MP3 menu.
2. Press
PRESET/MENU
or to select File
mode/Smart Trax mode depending on your current
active setting. For example, if the current setting is at
Smart Trax mode, the following screen will appear.

SELECT
to switch to File or Smart Trax mode
options. The display will show files rearranged to the
mode selected. For example, if File mode is selected,
the following will show on the display.

PRESET/MENU
or to select
other features in MP3 menu or press
BACK
to
exit the menu.
NOTE: If the MP3 disc is not formatted with the
Smart Trax feature, “Smart Trax mode” is
replaced with “FOLDER mode” or “File mode”
depending on the format of recording.
