RESOLVING CONNECTIVITY PROBLEMS
GAPGUN MX+ HANDLE NOT CONFIGURED CORRECTLY
Make sure that the IP address is set correctly on the GapGun handle.
If the default IP address settings are required. Enter the ‘Comms’ menu and select set defaults option. This will configure the
handle IP address as 100.0.0.1, set it subnet mask as 255.255.0.0 and will send data to the SPC3d server with an IP address of
100.0.0255.
If other IP addresses are required use the ‘Comms’ menu option to set new IP addresses for the GapGun MX+ handle and SPC3d
server to non default values.
If this does not resolve the issue contact
for further help.
HARDWARE PROBLEM WITH HANDLE OR WAIST PACK
Make sure the cable between handle and waist pack is secure and cable is ok. Test with a second cable if possible.
Make sure that the Wi-Fi switch on the waist pack is good.
Ensure that the 2 Green lights on the waist pack are on. That the blue light is flashing intermittently and the red light is not on.
If possible test connection to PC with second GapGun MX+ system.
If this does not resolve the issue contact
for further help.
WI-FI CARD ISSUE ON WAIST PACK
If the blue and red lights on the waist pack are flashing together then the WIFI card is not configured correctly. Contact
for details on how to reset this.
PC WIRELESS CARD FAULT
Disable and enable the wireless connection port to see if this resolves the problem.
Attempt to connect wireless card to another wireless device if possible.
If problem persists consult with Windows help for further assistance.
ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE BLOCKING COMMUNICATIONS
If the PC has antivirus software, switch this off and test whether the GapGun MX+ and SPC3d software will connect with each
other.
If connection is successful then consult the antivirus software help to find out how to make SPC3d software an exception and be
allowed to pass data to and from the GapGun MX+ handle without interference from the antivirus software.
If this does not resolve the problem then the antivirus software is not blocking the communications between the SPC3d
software and the GapGun handle.
