light will illuminate. For best result, let the cooked rice stand for about

15 minutes before stirring and fluffing up the rice prior to serving.

This allows the steam to finish the cooking process, thus producing a

good consistency to the rice.

9.  After allowing the rice to stand, remove the glass lid with care as

steam will escape.

10. Use the rice paddle provided to stir up and fluff up the rice.

NOTE:

Do not use metal scoops which will destroy the non-stick coating of

the rice pot.

11. Scoop the rice out with the rice paddle to serve.
12. Unplug the rice cooker from the wall outlet. Allow the Rice Cooker to

cool down completely before cleaning.

NOTE:

 For easy cleaning, put

a bit of water inside the rice pot after all the rice is removed from the

pot. This helps dislodge residual rice inside the pot.

13. When the rice cooker is cooled completely, wash the rice pot, glass

lid and rice paddle after each use using warm soapy water. Use only

non-abrasive scourers/sponges to wash the non-stick rice pot.

14. Wipe down the exterior of the Rice cooker with a damp cloth.
15. Ensure all parts are completely dry before putting in storage.

 HELPFUL HINTS

1.  Rinse and drain the rice grain in water until the water is clear and not

cloudy before cooking. This will remove surface starch present on

the rice grain,

2.  For best result, let the cooked rice stand for about 15 minutes before

stirring and fluffing up the rice prior to serving. This allows the steam

to finish the cooking process, thus producing a good consistency to

the rice.

3.  Adventurous cooks will enjoy experimenting by mixing different things

with their rice. Pre-soaked lentils, brown or wild rice, or chopped bok

choy can all be used to add a little variety to a pot of rice.  If you reduce

the amount of water, the cooked rice will be drier and separated. If you

increase the amount of water, the cooked rice will be stickier.
