Table 15. Live Spectrum mode features and controls
Feature Description
Grab tool In Live spectrum mode, the Grab tool can be used to:
• Drag the zoomed in mosaic within its respective pane (use the
scroll wheel on the mouse or the scroll bars at the edges of the
mosaic pane to zoom the mosaic in or out)
• Move the microscope stage to a selected location in the
mosaic (click the mosaic pane to specify the location)
Ruler tool In Live Spectrum mode, can be used to measure the length of
features in the mosaic
. Click to define the start of the
measurement, then drag to the end point. The length in μm (or
mm) is displayed in the status bar below the
mosaic pane .
Stage status Shows the X, Y, and Z coordinates of the microscope stage in
micrometers
Current cursor location Shows the most recently clicked location in the mosaic. The
spectrum acquired at this location is displayed in the spectral
pane .
Cursor status Shows the X and Y coordinates of the current cursor location in
the mosaic
Mosaic pane In live spectrum mode, shows any collected mosaics
Zoom To Region Zooms and centers any collected mosaic in the mosaic pane
Zoom To Mosaic Zooms the mosaic pane to show the full mosaic. If there are
multiple mosaics, this tool zooms out so that all mosaics are
visible.
Spectral pane In Live Spectrum mode, shows the spectrum acquired at the
current cursor location in the collected mosaic. The Y-axis format
of the displayed spectrum is always Raman intensity (detector
counts). The X-axis format is defined by the
Data Format option
in Instrument Settings .
The spectrum title shows the location of the acquired spectrum in
the mosaic and the signal-to-noise ratio at that location.
To add the background spectrum used for this spectrum to the
spectral pane, right-click the spectral pane and choose
Show
Background .
