Placing the Smart-Vue
module
1. Mount the Smart-Vue module in the desired location using the
provided plastic holder, which you may mount using a magnet,
screws or Velcro
®
. Choose the method that works best for your
location and place the Smart-Vue module as described earlier on
pg. 8.
2. Use the provided plastic cable holders to attach or coil the excess
cable neatly.
Activating the end-point
module (automatic
wireless setup)
The Smart-Vue 4-20 mA sensor monitor is a standalone device that runs on
battery power. To activate your Smart-Vue end-point module and add it
automatically to your wireless monitoring network, do the following:
1. Insert the provided battery, if not already installed, making sure to
respect the polarity (see image printed inside battery slot). We
recommend that you use a manual screwdriver, being careful not to
over-tighten the screws.

o begin collecting data on the 4-20mA current loop output of the
device to be monitored, make sure that Smart-Vue Client is running
with a properly configured receiver, and then initiate the wireless
configuration sequence by pressing the button on the front of the
end-point module for 3 seconds (until “Searching” displays on the
screen).
