ISQ 7000 Hardware Manual

Thermo Scientific

Dust Filters

There are two dust filters available for the ISQ 7000 mass spectrometer. They provide an extra
layer of filtration for the air that cools the system. If you have a particularly dusty
environment, these filters will help your instrument operate at a cooler temperature for a
longer period of time.

1. If you are using hydrogen as a carrier gas, unscrew the hydrogen safety screw on the front

door panel.

2. Open the front door panel of the instrument.

3. On the front interior panel, there are four screws.

4. Use a T10 Torxhead screwdriver to attach the filters to the interior front panel. The large

filter fits over the standard filters, which are already on the instrument.

5. Close the front door of the instrument.

6. If you are using hydrogen as a carrier gas, replace the front door panel screw.
