Concentration Measurements
Concentration measurements are based on measurement of a single standard solution of
known concentration. The instrument calculates a calibration based upon the absorbance of
the known standard and the assumption that there is zero absorbance at zero concentration. A
Factor is calculated from the data such that
Concentration = Factor x Absorbance
To perform a concentration measurement:
1. Select a measurement wavelength.
2. Set the
Mode
to
C.
3. Select the units from the pop-up grid.
Follow the directions in the message bar.
4. Place a cuvette with a blank solution in the measurement position and press
.
5. Type the standard concentration in the
Std. Conc
. box and press
to confirm.
