TG-V Multi-Temp Control Box
The various components of the Control Panel are
as follows:
One Temp/Two Temp Switch:
When set to One
Temp, this switch allows the Zone 1
Microprocessor Controller TG-V to operate both
Zone 1 and Zone 2 evaporators at one temperature
in one large compartment (with bulkheads
removed).
When set to Two Temp, this switch allows the
Zone 1 and Zone 2 evaporators to operate
independently to maintain separate zoned
compartment temperatures (with bulkheads
installed) at setpoints on each unit’s
Microprocessor Controller TG-V.
Auto Start/Stop - Continuous Run Switch:
This
switch selects Continuous Run operation or
CYCLE-SENTRY operation.
•
Cont Run position: The unit will Auto
Start. After start-up, the unit operates
continuously until the On/Off switch is
turned off or a protection circuit shutdown
occurs due to a malfunction in the fuel,
engine oil, engine coolant or refrigeration
system.
•
CYCLE-SENTRY position: All unit
starting operations are performed
automatically on demand. Starting
functions such as glow plug preheat, fuel
and throttle solenoid control and cranking
are performed automatically when
operation is required. The engine will start
automatically for one or a combination of
the following conditions:
•
The Microprocessor Controller calls
for heating or cooling.
•
Manual Defrost initiated.
•
Engine block temperature drops below
30F (-1 C).
Once started, the engine will run until:
•
Microprocessor Controller demands are
satisfied.
•
The block temperature reaches 90 F
(32 C).
•
The Defrost cycle is complete.
•
The battery is fully charged.
The engine is then automatically stopped by the
CYCLE-SENTRY control system.
Stop Start Light (Optional):
When this green light
is on, the CYCLE-SENTRY system is functioning
normally. A malfunction is indicated if the Auto
Start/Stop - Continuous Run switch is set to
CYCLE-SENTRY and the light is off. In this
situation, the unit will not run. The engine reset
may be tripped.
Engine Reset:
The engine reset is a push button
switch behind a flexible weatherproof cap. When
this switch “opens,” the button pops out. It
remains open until it is manually pushed in to
reset the circuits.
When the engine reset is open (tripped), the diesel
engine cannot be started. If the reset trips while
the engine is running, the engine will shutdown.
Four conditions can cause the engine reset to trip:
•
Engine oil pressure drops below 7 to 13 psig
(48 to 90 kPa) while the On/Off switch is
switched to On. This includes any situation
which causes the engine to stop or not start
within a short period of time.
•
Engine coolant temperature rises above
214 F to 225 F (101 C to 107 C).
•
Engine oil level drops too low.
•
The starter exceeds the cranking limit in
CYCLE-SENTRY operation (optional).
WARNING: Do not operate the unit until
you are completely familiar with the
location and function of each control,
gauge and indicator on the panels.
