AF ACS B connection-Only DHW application
AF ACS unit can be used with AFEX outdoor units in a specific configuration in order to create an heat pump system
only for DHW production.

Connect AF ACS B units to standard refrigerant ports on outdoor unit. 1/4->3/8 and 1/2->3/8 adapters are to be field
supplied.
Do not disconnect Emix port bypass; Remove JP1 from every AF ACS PCBs. The system will operate always in heating
mode; AF ACS B units have to be addressed according to refrigerant connection (like multi units application).
Max water temperature: 60° C. It’s not possible to go over 60° C without external energy sources (electric heaters or
similar). However, no errors will be displayed if water temperature set will be over 60° C.

How to use AF ACS B in electric boiler mode
First of all you have to switch on the unit by the main switch
A = automatic mode of operation to be used normally when the AF ACS B is connected to the AFEX
0 = off mode
R = electric water heater manually controlled by thermostat (to be used if the AFEX is in maintenance)
in case of need, the electrical elements could be managed by the end user exactly as any electrical
water heater; in this case follow the below procedure:
Turn the main switch to
R-position
Set the thermostat to 65°C Open the screws of
temperature limiter’s lid
