INSTALLATION
NOTE: When installing a ceiling-mounted hood, it is important that the material and construction into which the hood will be mounted have a bearing
capacity corresponding to the weight of the chosen model.
NOTE: If the hood is not installed horizontally, it may impact the hood’s performance.
NOTE: If other mounting methods than the ones in these instructions recommended is used it is important the hood is sound and vibration insulated
from the ceiling structure, otherwise it can cause nuisance or vibrations.
NOTE: This product is very heavy. The hood must be lifted and installed by at least two people or by using a lifting table.
INSTALLATION OPTIONS
Metz Maxi II Strip is available in two versions with a movable motor and one with an external motor. The hood can be installed in the following ways:
• Ceiling installation
• Installation in ceiling platform
• Frame installation
For Metz Maxi II Strip with a movable motor, the vent on the motor can be turned, and the motor can be removed from the hood and positioned
externally up to 5 meters from the hood.
Follow the instructions in the sections corresponding to the type of installation you have chosen.
CEILING INSTALLATION
NOTE: The fasteners on Thermex ceiling-integrated hoods have a clearance of 2.5 cm.

Measure and cut hole in ceiling. Push the hood up into the cut out hole in the ceiling.
NOTE: Pay attention to which way the cover opens before installing
the hood in the ceiling.
