INTRODUCTION

2.1 ProtoNode Gateway

The ProtoNode is an external, high performance

building automation multi-protocol gateway

that is

preconfigured to automatically communicate between Thermal Solutions’ products (hereafter called
“device”) connected to the ProtoNode and automatically configures them for BACnet MS/TP, BACnet/IP,
Metasys

® 2

N2 by JCI, Modbus TCP/IP or LonWorks

®3

.

It is not necessary to download any configuration files to support the required applications. The
ProtoNode is pre-loaded with tested profiles/configurations for the supported devices.
