CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
10. CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
The manufacturer recommends cleaning and disinfecting the THERA-Trainer
coro as follows:
Daily disinfection and cleaning of the THERA-Trainer coro:
–
Wipe foreign liquids (blood, urine etc.) with disposable germ-killing wet
wipes, or wipe-disinfect the device using an alcohol-based disinfectant.
–
Remove coarse dirt with mild (non-abrasive and non-corrosive) household
cleaning agents and a damp cloth.
Use exclusively the following disinfectants:
–
Liquid, alcohol-based cleaning agents.
–
Disposable germ-killing wet wipes.
Disinfecting and cleaning the THERA-Trainer coro before every user change:
–
Wipe foreign liquids (blood, urine etc.) with disposable germ-killing wet
wipes, or wipe-disinfect the device using an alcohol-based disinfectant.

Particularly for users with open wounds or with occurring incontinence pro-
blems, wipe-disinfect all contact surfaces (upper pipe frame, cushion-set,
table for the THERA-Trainer coro 460 x 700 mm, pelvic safety strap, fall
protection belt incl. seat board) before or after every use.

Alternatively it is also possible to protect the contact surfaces with sterile
disposable bags or foils, which are to be changed after every use.
Use exclusively alcohol-based watery disinfectants (ascending order of effi-
ciency: methanol < ethanol < isopropanol < n-propanol) for wipe disinfections.
Clean/disinfect the THERA-Trainer coro regularly according to infection control
measures prescribed by the facility in question.
Use disposable, germ-killing alcohol-based wet wipes for alternative disinfecti-
ons.
Observe instructions of the disinfectant manufacturer, as well as applicable
legal provisions.

Risk of infection due to contaminated THERA-Trainer coro!
Wear gloves when cleaning and disinfection.
NOTE!
Material damage due to incorrect cleaning!
Ensure that no cleaning agents get into the THERA-Trainer coro.
Never use cleaning agents that are aggressive, abrasive or caustic, or contain sol-
vents.
Use exclusively cleaning agents that contain alcohol, cleaning solvent or ammonia.
Use exclusively mild and environmentally friendly cleaning agents and disinfectants.
Observe manufacturer safety instructions for cleaning agent.
NOTE!
Material damage due to incorrect disinfecting!
Ensure that no disinfectants get into the THERA-Trainer coro.
Use exclusively wipe disinfection.
Use exclusively the following disinfectants:

Liquid, alcohol-based cleaning agents
–
Damp, alcohol based, germ-killing disposable wipes
Use exclusively disinfectants that conform to country-specific regulations.
Observe manufacturer safety instructions for disinfectant.
