Infrared Forehead Thermometer THD2FE / 15.2024.02

Infrared Forehead Thermometer THD2FE / 15.2024.02

• Clean the forehead from sweat, makeup, etc
• Press the

ON

button briefly. The unit now displays the symbol for forehead

mode (default mode).

• You will hear two beeps.
• Now point the measuring sensor at a suitable measuring spot in the middle

of the forehead at a distance of about 4 cm.

• Hold it steadily at this position and press the

START

button.

• A beep will sound once the measurement is completed, after approx. 1 second.
• If the reading is 37.5°C or higher, you will hear three short beeps.
• Remove the thermometer from the measuring area. Read the temperature on

the LCD display. The blue LED backlight turns on for 5 seconds.

7.2 Repeated measurements

• To repeat measurements, always return to the same point of measuring on

the forehead. Wait until the symbol for forehead mode stops flashing.

Remember:

• The forehead temperature is equivalent to oral temperature (oral temperature

is normally 0.5 °C less then rectal measured temperature.) This is based on
the average population. For some people it may be different and it is recom-
mended to learn and recognize the forehead temperature while healthy.

7.3 Memory function

• The thermometer automatically stores the last 25 temperature values in the

forehead temperature mode.

• To use the memory function, press the

ON

button while the thermometer is

turned on. The memory symbol appears. “1” appears briefly, then the tem-
perature of the last measurement.

• Each time the ON button is pressed, the temperatures of the previous mea-

surements (2 to 25) are displayed. If no more measured values are stored, - -
- appears on the display.

7.4 °C/°F selection and clearing of the memory

• When the device is switched off, press the

START

button and the

ON

button

simultaneously for 3 seconds. The temperature unit changes from °C to °F
and the memory is erased at the same time.

7.1 Measuring body temperature on the forehead (Fig. 2)

• Avoid taking a measurement less than 30 minutes after physical exercise,

bathing or dining.

• The thermometer and the person to be measured should be in the same room

under constant ambient conditions at least 15 minutes before the measure-
ment.

• Always make sure that the sensor is clean and undamaged.
