Overview
The
Premier Elite TTLCom
is a voltage level converter that converts the Network level signals (12V) to TTL
level signals (5V), and vice-versa. It is compatible with all
Premier & Premier Elite
control panels and
ancillary equipment. No programming is required.
The principal use is expected to be to interface to a fibre-optic system to permit the Network to be extended
over a considerable distance; or for use in electrically noisy environments.
Installation
It is recommended that the
TTLCom
is installed inside tamper protected equipment such as the control
panel or a power supply. The unit does not have any tamper facility, however loss of power to fibre
modems or damage or shorting of any cables between the device and other equipment will cause a tamper
alarm. Further alarms may be generated if expanders connected to the interface are supporting detection
devices or external sounders.
Fibre Modem Compatibility
The Network Interfaces are compatible with the following Fibre
Optic Modems.

Other Fibre modems may work. They must
operate full-duplex, and have 5V TTL signal
inputs.
