10.8. Lubrication and adjustment of gear chain.
You shall often lubricate the chain with chain oil or
chain spray. This shall be done at least once a
month or according to your own need. You shall
remove the connection joint on the chain where
after you can remove the chain. First you must
clean the chain. Thereafter you shall mount the chain. If you often use your Texas King
Street-Rider in dusty and wet areas, you must often wash and lubricate the chain.
You must make sure that the connection joint is remounted correctly when mounting the
chain. If this is not mounted correctly, the chain will fall off when using your Texas
King Street-Rider. The opening in the chain joint shall be opposite the chains movement
direction.
10.8.1.Adjustment
You shall adjust the chain to a tension of 15-25 mm.
Follow the following procedure:
1: Unscrew the bolt and nut on the bushing of the sprocket
wheel so that the chain is loosened.
2: Unscrew the lock bolt on the chain support until the
correct tension is reached.
3: Refasten the bolt and nut on the bushing of the
sprocket wheel.
4: Refasten the lock bolt on the chain support
