Connect the mains adapter to the CD player and an easily accessible mains socket 230 V ~ 50 Hz. Your CD
player is now ready for operation.
Insert 2 nickel-cadmium batteries (not included in scope of delivery), observing the correct polarity. Pay attention
to the notes on page 4!
Insert two 1.5 V mignon cells R6/LR6 (not included in the scope of delivery) in the battery compartment (see
page 4). Mind the polarity. Your CD Player is now ready for operation.

OPERATION WITH RECHARGEABLE NiCd BATTERIES
If the indicator starts flashing, the capacity of the batteries or rechargeable
batteries will be exhausted soon.
OPERATION VIA MAINS ADAPTER
OPERATION VIA EXTERNAL AUDIO SYSTEM
Connect the LINE OUT cable with the LINE OUT jack of your CD player and the CD or AUX jacks of the audio
system.
Turn the VOLUME control to minimum and connect the stereo earphones to the PHONE jack. Now adjust the
volume according to your wishes.

To charge the batteries, exclusively use the included mains adapter. Connect the mains adapter to the CD player
and an easily accessible mains socket 230 V ~ 50 Hz. The charging operation starts and the red charging LED
at the side of the unit lights during the charging. After some 15 hours the rechargeable batteries are fully
charged. After the charging process, disconnect the mains adapter from the mains socket and the DC plug
from the input jack.

Make sure to switch off the audio system prior to connecting the CD player.
You can connect your CD player to an external audio system such as the receiver of your stereo system to play
your CDs via this equipment.
