RADIO DATA SYSTEM
RADIO DATA SYSTEM (RDS)
RDS is a method for the transmission of additional
information from local Radio Stations. It can only be
operated in FM mode. For example, the name of the
station broadcasting, name of the program or the type of
program will be shown on the multi-function display.
d) RT (Radiotext)
Press
“DISPLAY”
on the front panel until
“RT”
appears.
Some Text messages will be shown.
Note
:
“NO RT”
will be shown if the signal from t h e
local radio station is not strong enough or if there is no
such service available.
It functions only when the local broadcasting stations
have RDS transmission and the signal is strong enough.
Press
“DISPLAY”
on the front panel or the
“RDS”
button on the remote, there are functions for PS, PTY, CT
and RT.
a) PS (Program Service Name)
Press
“DISPLAY”
on the front panel until
“PS”
appears.
The current station name will be shown.
Note
:
“NO PS”
will be shown if the signal from local
radio station is not strong enough or if there is no such
service available.
PTY SEARCH (Program Type Search)
1. Press
“PTY SELECT”
on the remote control, “PTY
SELECT” will flash on the display.
2. Press
/-
to choose the program type, for
example, NEWS, SPORT, …etc.
3. Press
“PTY SEARCH”
again once you h a v e
chosen the program type.
4. When the type of program is found it will stop
searching, otherwise, “NO FOUND” will appear.
b) PTY (Program Type)
Press
”DISPLAY”
on the front panel until
“PTY”
appears. The current program type will be shown.

:
“NO PTY”
will be shown if the signal from local
radio station is not strong enough or if there is no such
service available.
c) CT (Clock - Time)
Press
“DISPLAY”
on the front panel.
“WAITING CT”
will appear.
APS (Auto Program Search)
1. Select your FM or AM band.
2. Press
“APS”
on front panel. The unit will search
the available stations.
The stations found will
be memorized in the respective band memory up to
maximum 15 stations per band.
Note
: Weak stations may also be stored in memory; so
manual memory presetting may be needed in order to
get a better outcome.
The current time from the Radio Station will be shown,
e.g. 15:30
Note
: The C
lock - Time
will be only transmitted from
the local radio station once a minute, so you will need to
wait for less than 1 minute for the display to show the
time.

local radio station is not strong enough or if there is no
such service available.
