Troubleshooting
The following advice should help you to solve problems. If this does not help, you will fi nd useful information in the detailed
FAQs on our website. Otherwise, please contact our hotline (see page 3). Take note of the warranty instructions.
Problem
Possible cause
Solution
Device is not working, the
display is dark.
No power supply.
Check to make sure that the mains plug is
properly seated.
Check the function of the socket with another
device.
The speakers do not emit
sound.
The wrong source has been selected.
Select the correct source (see Seite 11).
The volume is set to “0”.
Increase the volume.
The headphones are connected.
Pull the headphones out of the jack. If head-
phones are connected, the speakers have
been switched off.
The speaker cable is loose.
Check the speaker connections.
Playback is noisy.
Generally speaking, the CD receiver is a
very low-noise system. The speaker system
with very high resolution in the high range
area can expose the poor quality of a signal
source (e.g. from MP3 fi les).
Ensure that the source is sending a clear
signal to the CD receiver.
Poor reception
The station is far away or the transmission
power is very weak.
Attempt to improve reception by adjusting the
direction of the antenna.
Use the buttons

If necessary, switch to mono (push the “FM
ST/M” button

“NO DISC”
The CD has been inserted the wrong way
around.
Insert the CD with the printed side up.
