The temperature measuring instrument Type Ex-Pt 720* itself may not be taken into areas
which require Category 1 equipment. Only the stainless steel probes stated in the instruction
manual and suitable for Zone 0 (Type 0628 2232 or 0628 2432), may be used.
The earthing clip must be used when using the probes in Zone 0. When using the earthing
clip, ensure that the connection is fixed in such a way that it cannot be unintentionally broken.
The carrying strap of the instrument must be attached to the belt or belt loop of the operator
in such as way, that when the instrument hangs freely by the carrying strap, a safety distance
of 50 cm to the border area required by Zone 0 is maintained. Only the manufacturer’s
carrying strap may be used.
