PREPARATION
ATTACHING THE BASKET HANDLE
Before using your fryer for the first time carefully wash the appliance. The oil tank, the frying basket
and the appliance lid should be well washed in warm soapy water, rinsed thoroughly and then
carefully dried. The body of the appliance should be wiped with a wet cloth and then carefully
dried.
Place the basket on a worktop

or other firm surface
Squeeze the wires at the base of
•
the handle and position them
as shown in the guide slots.
Squeeze the wires slightly and
•
insert the ends into the holes in
the guides
Release the wires and they will
•
spring into place.
Ensure the handle holds the
•
basket securely
To remove the handle reverse
•
the procedure.
REMOVING AND REPLACING THE OIL TANK
Lift out the oil tank.
Always wash the oil tank separately.
Never wash the oil tank when it is
inside the fryer base.
CLEANING THE HEATING ELEMENT.
Removing the Element From the Fryer.
Place your fingers in the recess at the rear of the
control unit. Hold the fryer securely and lift the
element carefully off the fryer.
To replace the element, align the element with
the guides in the fryer and slide the element into
place.
NOTE: The element contains a safety switch.
If the element is incorrectly inserted the fryer
will not operate. If this happens remove and re-
insert the element.
To clean the element:
Follow the illustration carefully.
Remove the element. Dip the element in warm soapy
water, lightly brush the surface with a soft cleaning
brush.
Repeat the process using clean water and then dry the
element fully with a soft towel or kitchen paper.
Replace the element when it is dry.
NEVER allow water to contact the control unit or power
cord.
If you need to clean the control unit, wipe it with a damp
cloth and then dry fully before operating the fryer.
