CUTTING LINE
Feeding more line
The trimming head is equipped with a bumper
•
to release and cut the trimming line. To release
more line, tap the bumper on a firm surface while
running and the spool will release fresh trimming
line.
A new length of line will feed out automatically.
Let the Grass Trimmer run for a few seconds
•
without touching the working area to allow the
blade fixed in the guard to cut the line after it
lengthens.
Replacing the cutting line
Remove the spool
Firmly squeeze the two spool cover release
•
buttons in.
This releases the spool cover.
Fit the new line
Cut a replacement nylon line of approximate
•
length 10 m.
Remove the cover.
•
Lift out the spool.
•
Remove any remaining nylon cutting line from
•
the spool.
Fold the replacement
•
cutting line in half and
hook it into the slot in
the centre divider of
the spool.
Wind the cutting line
•
onto the two sections
of the spool.
Wind the line onto both
spools in the direction
of the arrow on the
bottom of the spool.
NOTE: One line end can
be hooked into the slots
or holes in the edges of
the spool to prevent it
from unravelling while
you wind the other.
Continue until all
•
the line is wound
smoothly onto the
spool.
Unhook the line from the slots in the spool ends
•
and thread the ends of the cutting line through
the guide holes in the spool holder with about
120mm visible length.
Press the spool down and replace the spool cover,
•
pressing it into position until the release buttons
click into place.
